Customer Reviews:

Review by John G. R. in Chicago:

“I calculated about a monthly savings approximately to be $50 -75 per mo. We began to feel the difference immediately, the next day, when the temperature dropped about 15 degrees. The work crew was courteous and efficient. Information described in the brochure about the materials used was excellent. They cleaned up all around the house. I checked the attic insulation, and was very pleased. I recommend using this Company to All of my neighbors in Chicago”.

Review by Janette in Chicago, IL:

“My house is SOOOOOOOO much warmer this Winter!!!!!! My gas bill showed I used less therms, the walls are not cold and there are no drafts. The house is 45 years old and never felt younger!  So much more comfortable these cold winter days.  Thanks!”

Review by Bob, Accountant, Naperville, IL:

“I am very dubious of most advertised claims.  I now must admit that I wish that we had had you out earlier as there was an immediate difference in comfort level in our home.”

Review by Diedre, Professional Trainer, Wheaton, IL:

“We no longer sweat the summer, it works all year long.”

“USA Insulation did the insulation work in my home. My house is pretty old, so there was no insulation in it. They used the foam that blows into the walls. They did that in the cavities all around the house, and I was happy with the job. They were great. They were very concerned about making sure they cleaned up the area after they were done. It was a really good experience. The house is noticeably warmer and quieter. I think it works great. It saved us a ton in heating and cooling. I thought they were really professional. They did their job, and they were friendly. We would recommend them. They insulated my house, which has brick walls. I can see the difference, I'll tell you that. It's definitely warmer and not drafty. They were very nice and helpful.

Review by Brant F at CitySearch (5 Star Rating):

“The USA Insulation sales rep was very knowledgeable and friendly and even told us how we can go about getting our tax rebate for getting our home insulated. They were quick and cleanup was immaculate. They far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend them. Review by a customer in Chicago, I had my attic insulated a few weeks ago and I notice the house is warmer and the heat comes on a lot less than previously. I would recommend anyone with an older home to get insulation. I would give USA Insulation FIVE STARS but I need to know how warm my house will be in the winter months.

Why Insulate?

The "Magic" of Insulation

Insulation works by providing a continuous boundary of the "building envelope" between unconditioned outdoor spaces and conditioned indoor spaces. Low levels of insulation, gaps and voids in the insulation materials can provide pathways for heat and air to flow out of or into your home. About 40% of feeling physically uncomfortable is due to radiant-heat exchange between our bodies and the interior surfaces surrounding us. By increasing insulation to reduce this radiant-heat exchange, you are maintaining a more consistent level of comfort throughout your house.

Lower Utility Bills

The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Building Technology's number one recommendation to help consumers reduce their energy bills is to add insulation to their homes. Most homes in the U.S. are not well insulated and older homes are particularly vulnerable, leading to high heating and air-conditioning bills. Having an energy-efficient house starts with proper levels of insulation. When houses are adequately insulated, it takes less energy to heat and cool them than if they were poorly insulated. Insulation in your attic and walls keeps the living spaces conditioned and allows your heat and/or air conditioning source to run more efficiently, thus reducing your energy consumption.

Comfort

Comfort (Com-fort): A state of ease, satisfaction and bodily desires, with freedom from pain and anxiety.

Is your home hot in the summer months and cold in the winter months? Is the temperature upstairs between 8-12 degrees different from the temperature downstairs in your home? Insulating your home will keep your living space or "comfort zone" consistent throughout your house. This makes for a more comfortable living space throughout your house.

Increased Resale Value

Installing proper insulation levels can make your house more attractive to potential buyers. About 86% of Americans would choose one home over another based on its energy efficiency (Energy Pulse Survey, 2006).

Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Properly insulating homes worldwide would reduce the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by 293.5 billion pounds over ten years ("Integrating Risk Assessment and Life Cycle Assessment: A Case Study of Insulation", Harvard School of Public Health; Boston, MA).

Reducing energy consumption also reduces carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions. NAIMA estimates that insulated buildings in the U.S. reduce carbon dioxide emissions by an annual 780 tons (North American Insulation Manufacturers' Association (NAIMA), "Using Recycled Materials is Just the First Step Toward Safeguarding the Environment").

According to two studies by Harvard University's School of Public Health, if all single families in the United States lived in adequately insulated homes, there would be:

  • 6,500 Fewer Asthma Attacks Each Year
  • 240 Fewer Premature Deaths Each Year
  • 110,000 Less Restricted-Activity Days Each Year

Benefits of USA Premium Foam

  • Higher R-Value than the Competition
  • Quieter & Better Sound Proofing
  • Healthier Indoor-Air Quality
  • Cleaner & Safer Installation
  • Best Fire & Smoke Rating for Fire Safety

USA Premium Foam has more than 35% better R-value than fiberglass, cellulose or rockwool insulation. When you buy insulation, you are buying R-value, which is the insulation efficiency rating. The higher the R-value, the more you control your environment. USA Premium Foam Insulation exceeds the R-value of all other retrofit insulation.

What is R-value? R stands for resistance, which refers to the resistance to the movement of temperature through your walls and ceilings. Our R-value is higher because it fills more of your wall cavity and has a higher density when it does this.
